Sender Policy Framework, or SPF, is a verification system, which is designed to prevent the so-called e-mail spoofing where an e-mail message can be sent from one email address, but to appear as being sent from a different, generally with the objective to fraud the recipient someway. If SPF protection is activated for a domain, a special record is made for it in the Domain Name System and all the DNS servers globally have it. The record features all the mail servers that are allowed to send legitimate messages from an email address part of the domain. When an email is sent, the first DNS server it goes to verifies the SPF record and if its sending server is authorized, the message is forwarded to the targeted destination. When, however, the sending server doesn't exist in the SPF record for the given domain, the message will not be forwarded and it'll be removed. Whenever you employ this solution, it will prevent third parties from sending spam e-mails that seem to have been sent by you.

SPF Protection in Cloud Web Hosting

You're able to activate the SPF protection option for your domain names with just a couple of clicks inside the Hepsia Control Panel, which comes with all our cloud web hosting services. This is done from the section with an identical name and you're able to enable the protection for each domain on our modern cloud hosting platform. Using a really handy interface, all you will need to enter is the hostname of the mail server which will be authorized to send messages from your e-mail addresses and its IPv4 or IPv6 address. Last, but not least, it is possible to include several servers as well, when needed. In case your emails are taken care of by us, you can also use a more secure option by putting a limit that e-mail messages can be sent only if your domain names feature our MX records. This option can't be applied if your site is hosted here, and your email addresses are with a third-party service provider. Either way, the SPF protection solution can significantly enhance your web security and stop others from counterfeiting your email addresses.
